Question - if I think a 30-minute drive to the mall is too long, why in the world would I ever think that a 20-hour drive to Iowa is a good idea? Right...
Well, I left the CIA this morning at 10, and finally made it to my half-way location in Toledo, Ohio at 8 in the evening. Granted, most of the drive was gorgeous - the trees are finally wearing their beautiful fall coats of oranges, dark reds, yellows, and almost purples - but the part where you sit in the car for 10 hours is just unbearable.
So, I get to spend the night recuperating (hopefully sleeping), and then tomorrow, bright and early, I'm heading to Des Moines.
I'm starting my externship at the Cuisine at Home Magazine on Monday. Fingers crossed.

Can't wait for you to finally get there! So excited to hear all about the magazine, where you are staying, etc. Should start looking at airline tickets.
